Friction stress of nondislocation origin in alloys and deformation hardening

  • Published:
Soviet Physics Journal Aims and scope

Abstract

Deformation curves of solid solutions with different values of the friction stress are calculated using the equations of the theory of deformation hardening. It is shown that the shape of the calculated curves changes considerably when the value of the friction stress changes. The theoretical curves are compared with the actual compression curves of single crystals of Ni3Fe in ordered and disordered states.
