Abstract
The martensitic hysteresis loop under thermoelastic transformation is described in terms of phenomenological characteristics: the “chemical” and “nonchemical” contributions to the heat of transformation and the real (dissipative) driving force. Formulas derived in the paper give the relation between the phenomenological characteristics and the martensitic points.
