Studies of molecular relaxation by infrared and microwave coherent transients

Abstract

Novel techniques to observe coherent transients are successfully demonstrated on microwave transitions of NH3, H2O, OCS, and O2. The relaxation rate constants in thev 2 excited state of NH3 are obtained by infrared experiments.
