A description is given of the synthesis of simple structural analogs of the antibiotic griseofulvin: derivatives of 7,8-dihydro-5(6H)-chromanone and of enol ethers of 4-benzoyl-1,3-cyclohexanedione.

Some of the compounds obtained have tuberculostatic and fungistatic activity in vitro.
