Abstract
The stress concentration is investigated in the neighborhood of a circular opening in a cantilevered glass-reinforced plastic cylindrical shell with a concentrated load at the free end. The problem is solved by the Bubnov method using a Ural-2 computer. The theoretical results have been checked experimentally on glass-reinforced plastic shells.
