Elastic potential in local strains theories

  • Published:
Polymer Mechanics Aims and scope

Abstract

Expressions for the elastic potential V in local strains theories are examined. The relation between the elastic potentials in the moving and fixed coordinate system is established. The expressions for the function V of an incompressible material at high degrees of nonlinearity are investigated.
