Polymer Mechanics Aims and scope

Abstract

The relationship of the actual to theoretical strengths of adhesive bonds and means of increasing actual adhesive strength are analyzed in terms of the molecular theory of adhesion. Certain relationships for the destruction of adhesive bonds are examined. The lack of substance in the objections to the molecular theory of adhesion is shown.
