Resistance of glass-reinforced plastics to long-term shear failure

Abstract

The time dependencies of the strength of glass-reinforced plastics in shear under steady, continuous and alternating loads are examined. Failure under steady and continuous loading is depicted by means of an exponential model of the build-up of damage.
