Abstract

A method of determining the elastic deformation and the magnitude of the relative slipping of parts, during the testing of polymers under conditions of reversible slippage is examined. A significant reduction in the amplitude of slippage is noted. The magnitude of the actual amplitude of reversal can be determined if the variation in the moment of friction and the displacement in time of the moving part are known.
