Abstract
Resolving the elongation of textile fibers into its components (rapidly disappearing, slowly disappearing, and residual) provides valuable information on the mechanical properties and makes it possible to predict a series of mechanical characteristics of the fabrics into which they are made. The optimal methods of determining these components are established.
