Relation between the parameters of bond rupture kinetics and the lifetime of polymeric materials

  • Published:
Polymer Mechanics Aims and scope

Abstract

The dependence of the lifetime of a polymeric material on the level of the applied stress and its duration of action is established on the basis of the equation of a first-order thermal degradation reaction. The relations obtained also make it possible to describe the thermal aging process.
