Abstract
A significant effect of all-round pressure up to 8.82 × 107 N/m2 on the deformation characteristics (creep, σ vs ɛ diagram) of high-density polyethylene in monaxial extension has been established. A description of the nonlinear viscoelastic properties of the material under study has been made on the basis of a relationship in which account is taken of the effect of mean hydrostatic stress on deformation properties.
