Polymer Mechanics Aims and scope

Abstract

A new instrument (the IDP-6) for measuring the dielectric constant of polymer materials is described; it enables measurements to be carried out directly in finished articles without special preparation of the surface under test. The results of some measurements of dielectric constant in objects with uneven surfaces obtained on the IDP-6 and an earlier device, the IDP-1, are presented.
