Investigation of the interaction of o,o′-dihydroxyazo-compounds with metal cations

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The dentateness of o,o′-dihydroxyazo-compounds in reactions with metals was investigated by the method of pulsed photolysis and enlisting IR spectroscopy.

  2. 2.

    In complexes of o,o′-dihydroxyazo-compounds with Zr(IV), Hf(IV), Nb(V), Ga(III), In(III), Sc(III), and Pd(II), the ligands of the indicated group behave as bidentate ligands, while in complexes with Cu(II) and Co(II) they behave as tridentate ligands.
