1.
On the basis of an investigation of the canonical forms of the regression equations, the influence of temperature, pressure, and reagent ratio on the yield of ethylbenzene, output of the catalyst, concentration of ethylbenzene and polyethylbenzenes in the alkylation of benzene by ethylene on a CaY zeolite catalyst was studied in the temperature range 250–350°, pressures 1–50 atm, and ratio of benzene to ethylene 1–5.

2.
The optimum conditions of the process, permitting an increase in the yield of ethylbenzene to 90%, and the output of the catalyst to 1.5 g of ethylbenzene from 1 cm3 of the catalyst per hour, were found.
