Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The reactions of methyl-, ethyl-, and phenyldichlorophosphine with cis-β-chloroacrylic acid lead to the formation of the acid chlorides of methyl-, ethyl-, and phenyl-(β-chloroformylvinyl)phosphinic acid.

  2. 2.

    With trans-β-chloroacrylic acid the reaction proceeds with the formation of the acid chloride of trans-β-chloroacrylic acid.
