Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Summary

  1. 1.

X-ray powder patterns have been used to determine the structure of products obtained by roasting 12-phosphorotungstic and 12-silicotungstic acids in air at 700°.

  2. 2.

Both products are isomorphic and at room temperature they have the structure of the high-temperature tetragonal modification of tungsten trioxide (WO3).
