Conclusions
-
1.
The reactions of 1,1-dimethylhydrazine with α, β-unsaturated acid anhydrides and chlorides were studied.
-
2.
In these reactions two isomeric compounds are formed; the 2,2-dimethylhydrazide of the corresponding acid and a 1,1-dimethylpyrazolinium 3-oxide [3-hydroxy-1,1-dimethyl-2-pyrazolinium hydroxide inner salt.
-
3.
Methacrylic and crotonic 2,2-dimethylhydrazides, 1,1-dimethylpyrazolinium 3-oxide, 1,1,4-trimethylpyrazolinium 3-oxide, 1,1,5-trimethylpyrazolinium 3-oxide, and also the hydrochlorides, methiodides, and picrates derived from these compounds were prepared and characterized for the first time.
