Substitutive addition reactions of 2-alkylidenecyclanones with 2-alkylfurans

Abstract

The reaction of 2-alkylidenecyclanones with 2-alkylfurans in an acid medium leads to the formation of substitutive addition products, 1-(2-cyclanon-1-yl)-2-(5-alkylfuryl)alkanes.
