Abstract
Evaporation of a liquid from a free surface is considered for pressures in the surrounding medium of 1.33 · 103 and 2.67 · 103 N/m2. On the basis of an experimental study, a mechanism was established for the effect of mass transfer on heat transfer during evaporation under conditions of free convection.
