Conclusions

  1. 1.

We established the dependence of modulus of normal elasticity and hardness on the temperature of Fe-Ni alloys.

  2. 2.

By microstructural analysis of Fe-Ni alloy specimens, we established a correspondence with the phase diagram of the given system. The microstructure was brought to light by chemical etching.

  3. 3.

It was shown that the microstructure of a polished surface is substantially different from the structure in the specimen after 3 hours soaking at 1100° followed by cooling in a vacuum of about 5 × 10−5 mm Hg.
