Fine crystal structure of electrolytic iron deposits obtained under various electrolysis conditions

Soviet Physics Journal Aims and scope

Abstract

An x-ray study has been made of the fine crystal structure of iron deposits obtained at various current densities and various electrolysis temperatures. The microdistortion and grain size were calculated by Fourier analysis of the line profile and the line width. Electrolytic iron deposits have considerable microdistortion, more extensive, the higher the current density and the lower the electrolyte temperature. The linear dimensions of the grains decrease under these conditions.
