Abstract
Using the latest most accurate and detailed data on the components of the complex refractive index of water we calculate the volume attenuation coefficients of mist for 83 wavelengths in the range from 0.3 to 25.31 μm. The spectrum of the mist particle sizes is approximated by Young's empirical formula with different values of the microstructure parameters. The limits of applicability of the results obtained are discussed.
