Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Natural gas of the origin indicated, without any pretreatment [this is doubted by the Russian editor], is recommended as a carburizer.

  2. 2.

    The waste gases can be used as protective atmospheres in heat treating furnaces.

  3. 3.

    The use of natural gas for gas carburizing released one of the furnaces and resulted in 57,000 rub. annual saving.
