Conclusions

Using a technique proposed earlier [1], analytical expressions were derived for the concentration distribution function for a heterogeneous alloy at intermediate stages of homogenization. The resultant expressions lend themselves to tabulation and subsequent practical use. In contrast to the formulas derived in [1], the new expressions are more suitable for the case of statistical mixtures with a mean concentration of ∼50%, whereas the earlier formulas give a better description of diffusion in matrix systems.
