Conclusions
The proposed method of calculation of the equilibrium state of a controlled atmosphere-carbon in steel system is designed for determination under production conditions of the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of carbon exchange between a controlled atmosphere and steel during heat or chemicothermal treatment and also for determination of the quantity of carburizer to be added to the carrier gas to obtain the specified carbon content on the surface of a part to be chemicothermally treated.
