Summary
It has been shown theoretically that taking into account the erosion dependence of the burning rate leads to a broadening of the region of stability with respect to the parameter δ. However, this observation does not automatically imply a physical broadening of the stability region.
Taking the erosion dependence of the surface temperature into account has a destabilizing effect.
