Abstract
Experimental data on the mechanism of corrosion-fatigue failure of aluminum were obtained. The results of a study of the effect of cyclic stresses on the electrode potential of aluminum under conditions precluding the formation of oxide films made it possible to establish that its electrode potential is noticeably reduced as a result of structural changes produced by plastic deformation.
