Correction of the readings of an aromatics meter using a fraction selector

  • Published:
Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

In analysis for the content of aromatic hydrocarbons in a catalytic-reforming distillate which is stable in fractional composition, the error in the reading of the aromatics meter, based on the epsilon meter, does not exceed ±1% with respect to the control analysis method.

  2. 2.

With fluctuations of the fractional composition of the product, in operation it is necessary to use a fraction selector, which sharply increases the accuracy of measurement of the total content of aromatic hydrocarbons in the product.
