Static characteristics of the direct heterogeneous oxidation of propylene to acrolein in a reactor with a fluidized catalyst bed

Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

In spite of the original assumptions adopted, static characteristic equations were obtained without linearizing starting nonlinear functions, which offered the possibility of investigating static relationships over a wide range of change in input process parameters.

  2. 2.

The basic coefficients which characterize the thermal, chemical, and kinetic effects of the reactions occurring have been determined. Static characteristics have been obtained for specific values of regime process parameters. An extreme character of the dependence of the yield of the desired product (acrolein) on temperature in the reaction zone within the range studied has been established.
