Conclusions
-
1.
Upset forging of sintered materials was found to be effective to increase the density and thus the strength. Quantitative relationships were obtained that determine the parameters of cold plastic deformation of sintered iron differing in original density.
-
2.
Increasing the particle size of the original powder to >63 μm leads to a smaller increase of density during cold plastic deformation.
