Abstract
Within the frequency range between 10 kHz and 1 MHz, a.c. conductance and capacitance have been studied for a novel conjugated asymmetrical polydiacetylene showing liquid crystalline behaviour as functions of the frequency of the applied field. Estimated low values for loss tangent are believed to be consistent with the highly insulating behaviour of the material.
