Metal Science and Heat Treatment Aims and scope

Conclusions

The structure of fractures obtained by static and dynamic fractures of metals and alloys can be investigated by different methods.

Fractographic methods have undergone considerable development (with a light microscope at large magnifications), and also electron-fractographic analysis. Further studies will permit more profound analysis of the essentials of alloying and studies of complex-alloy steels and alloys.
