Considérations sur l'absorption d'oxygène durant les tests d'effort

Summary

It was the object of the investigation to establish new criteria for the oxygen consumption during work. The subjects were men and women aged between 20 to 30 years, of normal weight, suffering from chronic diseases. To study O2 consumption during work and recovery, the O2/w value and other indices proving more conclusive were looked into. The medium proportion between the items of the factors O2E/kgm/min and O2R/kgm/min was established. The author stresses the advantages of the „dynamic” consideration of O2 consumption compared with the „static” consideration, and recommends the efficiency to be assessed from the O2 consumption during the work and recovery periods.
