Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The acceleration of carburizing and nitriding operations during heating of steel in liquid media with the aid of electric current has no connection with the specific effect of high-frequency current. The results in [1] are similar to ours, although we heated the specimens directly.

  2. 2.

    Benzene or ethyl alcohol are the most suitable liquids for carburizing.
