Effect of the composition and age of solution on the properties of thin films deposited on glass

Abstract

Three film-forming solutions with identical compositions but different contents of water and acid are investigated. It is shown that the physical and physicochemical properties of the sol-gel coatings obtained are dependent on the age of the solution. All changes are closely connected with the appearance and development of film crystallization.
