Summary
An extract from a human placenta can be fractionated by means of salt-precipitation, gel-chromatography with Sephadex G-200 and ionic exchange with DEAE-Sephadex A-50. With that in 4 placental fractions altogehter 5 proteins typical of pregnancy are found. For winning of antigens and production of monospecific immun sera against pregnancy-typical proteins the human placenta is suitable.
