Abstract
The thermal conductivity of liquefied20Ne and22Ne isotopes was determined on the boiling line between 25 and 29 K using the plate method. A linear dependence on temperature could be observed. In a diagram of the reduced thermal conductivity κ* as function of the reduced temperatureT* the values are compared with those of the heavier rare gases, and in the case of neon a considerable influence of the quantum effects is found. The first quantum correction is sufficient for the description of the results, i.e., κ*=κ /* cl +Λ*2·κ /* l . By combination of the measurements with argon and with neon, κ /* cl and κ /* l can be determined as function ofT*.
