Abstract

A comprehensive treatment of the thermodynamic properties of aqueous UO2SO4 to 559 K is presented. This system has the unusual property of liquid-liquid phase separation above its critical temperature of 559 K. The equations for criticality and for phase equilibria in the molality system are developed. The factors leading to this phase separation are discussed as well as the approximations inherent in our equation because of incomplete information.
