The inaccuracy by Karlson (1962, 1963) in the derivation of the equation for the electric tield and due to equating the plasma density with the guiding centre's density is corrected in the framework of microscopic description. Moreover, the corrected equation of Karlson is derived in two different ways in the continuous medium approach: (1) with the use of the generalized Ohm law; (2) with the use of the two-liquid magnetohydrodynamic equations.
