Abstract
The isolation from the plantDipthychocarpus strictus (Cruciferae) of the optically active base diptaline, identified as N-(11-methylsulfinylundecyl)urea, has been reported [1]. A synthesis of the racemic form of this alkaloid has now been achieved.
