Abstract
Two supersonic jets interact to produce a dense plasma, which has marked effects on the structure and spectrum. Flow from the dense region produces marked radial inhomogeneity. The emission spectrum of the dense zone consists of a strong continuum together with asymmetrically broadened lines of the elements present in the electrodes.
