A modified open-circuit method for estimation of oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide excretion in adults, infants and small animals

Abstract

A miniaturised version of the Kappagoda/Linden “open-circuit” system for respiratory studies is described. Studies of this inexpensive portable system indicate that it is simple to calibrate and operate and is stable and reliable.
