Toxicological certification of fatal melipramine poisoning in a child

Summary

An accidental, fatal Melipramine poisoning of a child is described. The method ofGrusz for the extraction of the active ingredient from organs, various microchemical reactions and a thin-layer chromatographic technique for the identification of Melipramine are discussed. A simple method has been developed for quantitative photometric determination. The distribution of the drug in the various organs is described.
