Zusammenfassung

Nach einleitender Betrachtung über die Toxikologie der Phenylchinolincarbonsäure und Skizzierung der Kasuistik wird ein Vergiftungsfall beschrieben, der nach einer Ampulle Atophanyl und Einnahme von 15 Tabletten Atophan auftrat. Im Vordergrund des akuten Krankheitsbildes standen eine schwere toxische Leberschädigung mit hepatorenalem Syndrom, sowie eine ausgeprägte thrombocytopenische Purpura. Es wird die Therapie des als hyperergisch-allergisch gedeuteten Krankheitsbildes besprochen, bei der dem Einsatz von Glucocorticoiden (Prednison) neben der Basistherapie die entscheidende Rolle zugeschrieben wird.
