Summary

Description of biomioroscopic findings in the pars plana of the ciliary body.

Pars plana cysts are found in elder people regardless of in other pathologic findings.

Zusammenfassung

Darstellung des biomikroskopischen Aspektes der normalen Pars plana. Die unterschiedliche Ausbildung des Müllerschen Reticulums beeinflußt die Oberflächenstruktur und erlaubt die Einteilung in zwei Zonen, eine granuläre Zone und eine Streifenzone. In der granulären Zone haftet das unpigmentierte Epithel stärker am Pigmentepithel.

Cysten der Pars plana sind bei über 40jährigen nicht selten und kommen ohne Zusammenhang mit anderen pathologischen Augenveränderungen vor.
