Zusammenfassung

Verletzungen der Schleimhaut der Mundhöhle bedürfen selten einer operativen Therapie abgesehen von Perforationen des weichen Gaumens. Entzündliche Veränderungen, wie z. B. die Stomatitis aphthosa und ulcerosa werden lokal behandelt. Die häufigsten Raumforderungen der Mundhöhle sind Hämangiome, Lymphangiome und die Ranula, die je nach Ausdehnung operativ entfernt werden sollten. Phlegmonöse Entzündungen des Mundbodens sind meist dentogener Ursache und müssen zahnärztlich mitbehandelt werden. Bei Schnitt- oder Bissverletzungen der Glandula parotis kann es zu einer Schädigung des N. fazialis kommen, die gegebenenfalls durch eine Nervennaht versorgt werden muss. Eine Sialadenitis (Glandula parotis) tritt meist bei atrophen und frühgeborenen Kindern auf, begünstigt durch eine Mastitis der Mutter. Tumoren der Speicheldrüsen sind selten, meist handelt es sich um benigne Tumoren, wobei Lymphangiome und Hämangiome am häufigsten sind.
