Summary
2-Vinylselenophene was synthesized and its copolymerization with methyl methacrylate and n-butyl acrylate was investigated. The copolymerization data was analyzed by a nonlinear least squares error-in-variables method. 'Ihe results of these preliminary experiments indicate that 2-vinylselenophene is a very reactive monomer, approximately as reactive as 2-vinylthiophene in copolymerizations with methyl methacrylate and n-butyl acrylate.
