Conclusions

A mathematical description of the material balance in plasticizing hydrocellulose film has been developed.

A method of controlling the plasticizer content of film by compensating for perturbing actions from change in spinning machine output or degree of plasticizer absorption by the film with operative adaptation of the system from the results of laboratory analysis of the film is described.

A system of direct digital control of plasticizer content of hydrocellulose film has been devised and has been introduced under manufacturing conditions.
