Abstract
By the reaction of the anhydride of 4-nitronaphthalene-1,8-dicarboxylic acid with 2-aminobenzoselenol zincate, followed by the action of isoamyl nitrite on the reaction mixture, the anhydride of benzo[k,l]selenoxanthene-3,4-dicarboxylic add has been synthesized. Through the reaction of this anhydride with primary amines, a number of corresponding imides have been synthesized.
